This was my first competition, I have been shooting for less than a year. As a disabled archer it was all very new to me. I was amazed at how many people were there and how friendly they were, I would like to express my thanks to the Redhill Club for making special arrangements for me to shoot.
It was a bit like a scene out of Harry Potter, with lots of tents, all they needed were chimneys and smoke. The weather was all over th
e place, cold ,sunny, rain and even hailstones. If only we had a tent... "
When we first started shooting long distance, the wind was strong and moving around, impossible to predict where the arrows would go. Five of us took part, and we were pleased with our performance considering the bad weather. Congratulations to Sam who won the under fourteen age category, and was presented with a engraved glass.
I enjoyed the competition and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people at Severn Archers Club for their help and kindness.
I will now start practicing for my next competition.
