“as the summer months rapidly approach, the clubs members have been seen to venture to shooting outdoors during its Sunday sessions and have been seen enjoying the challenge of shooting the longer distances…..as well as commencing the yearly ground inspection…..least that’s what they told me they were doing...looked like hunting for lost arrows to me :) “ Whilst enjoying the seasons early sunshine the club is preparing for its season of fund raising and social activities. We welcome you to come along and see us at the following events-_ Three Counties Summer Show - 19th-21st June The Berkley Show - August Bank Holiday Monday The Autumn Show - Date tbc The arrangements for the clubs summer social are well underway, although details at this time are strictly under wraps, rumours of a supersize bouncy castle are yet to be confirmed…watch this space … In other news..... Severn Archers would like to take this opportunity to welcome back Mel Clarke (Beijing Paralympic Bronze medallist) who is back visiting the club, easing back into training after her recent wrist surgery. Severn Archers would like to extend its congratulations to Charlie O'Brien for recently ataining his level 1 coaching qualification, and good luck to both Maia Lucas and Richard Jowett who have just completed their internal level 1 assesment and now await their final assesment. All being well this will bring the clubs tally of registered coaches to 4. The Horde is back! It’s that time of year again and the Horde are assembling to once more to staff the work party for the UK European Grand Prix invitational event to be held at Stoke Mandiville. The event is to be held during the second week of June. This event is a IPC sanctioned event for Paralympic class athletes. The “Horde” have been there since the first event and over the years have made many friends from international Paralympic archery community.
